Today I would like to share with you a vintage rose card I made. I played around with my Tim Holtz masks and Ritzy Ditzy Glitz… I have to tell you that I love the results. It is not the first time I have done this technique but it is my first time working on an acetate card. It is very easy to do. After placing the mask where I wanted it and making sure it was firmly adhered to the card, I started spritzing with Gold Ritzy Ditzy Glitz and before it dried I added bronze around the outside and Garnet in the middle of the card. I used my heat gun (from a distance) to push the fluid around and dry it. Since the card was acetate the Ritzy Ditzy Glitz fluid did not absorb as fast as it usually does.
For the flower I used my cricut to cut out several layers of the same flower in different sizes. I stacked the flowers and used a brad in the center to hold them together. I got them wet and gently crushed the petals into the center of the flower. I used my heat gun to dry it for a min just to get the moistness off and started slowly un-crushing them until I liked the look and shape. I spritzed it with Bronze Ritzy Ditzy Glitz and added some gold in then used my 3D Crystal Lacquer along the edges of the petals. While the adhesive was still wet I dusted it with some Clear Glitter Glitz. Here is a closer look.
